About John Keats

John Keats (1795-1821) was one of the main figures of the second generations of Romantic poets, along with Lord Byron and Percy Byshhe Shelly. His major works include Lamia, To Autumn, Hyperion, Ode to a Nightingale, The Eve of St Agnes, and so on. The text is an excerpt from Endymion, a long poem in four books. It is based on the Greek myth of Endymion, the shepherd who was loved by the moon goddess Selene.
