Bram Stoker (1847-1912) was born in Ireland. He attended Trinity College, Dublin. He is best known for his novel on a vampire, Dracula, that was published in 1897. Dracula became an instant hit in Ireland and England. It became a benchmark in horror fiction.
Some of his other works include The Snake's Pass (1890), Miss Betty (1898) and The Lady of the Shroud (1909).
