Vegetables
Vegetables are an important part of our daily food. They are a delight on the dining table in every home. Vegetables are mainly of two types- dry vegetables like potatoes and onions and wet vegetables like the green leaves.
Most vegetables are delicious to eat when they are fresh and young, and eaten uncooked. All vegetables except those like the peas enclosed in a pod need washing. Vegetables should never be soaked in water for a long time nor cooked for a long period on the gas stove as this destroys the vitamins in them.
