Literature has to be universal in nature, when it is identified with any particular ideology, we simply confine it to a limit and itloses its universal nature and appeal. Literature has to be limitless, it is a thing of pleasure and joy forever, and then only it could be universal in true sense. As far as the socialist realism is concerned, Stalin forced the writers of his time to write for the society and asked them to show the gap between the bourgeois and the proletariat. The writers refused to his call and they termed it as propaganda and denied to write on his ideological line. When the literature is used for the propagation of a specific ideology, it becomes propaganda. Literature has to be timeless and ageless; it carries values which are relevant for all the ages. It is for the whole humanity, it could not be confined to the boundaries of a state or country, and it is for the well being and joy of the whole humanity. All the identity politics literatures have their limits, it could not extend itself after a certain limit, be it Dalit Literature, Afro American Literature, Tribal literature, Shudra(OBC) Literature or any other literature.

The concept of Dalit literature in Hindi was made popular by Rajendra Yadav and he advocated it to be the literature of all marginalized classes but unfortunately the Shudras were thrown out of this category of literature and we are at present voiceless and discourse less. Some Dalit writers made Dalit Literature of a particular caste, first Tribal Literature got disassociated itself from Dalit Literature and began its own discourse and got established itself with the passage of time.
